Judo
Judo is a Japanese martial art created as a physical, mental and moral conditioning, in 1882, by Jigoro Kano. It involves heavy body combat and Olympic sport, with its most prominent feature being its competitive element, where the objective is to either throw or takedown an opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue an opponent with a pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. Cyprus has a large marshal art following, with many Cypriot Judo Academies Participating in Pan Cyprian and international championships

Individual: Men: M1 – 30 – 34 years; M2 – 35 – 39; M3 – 40 – 44 years; M4 – 45 – 49 M5/6/7 years 50-65 years
Women: W1/2 – 30 – 39 years; W3/4 – 40 – 49 years W5/6/7 – 50-65 years
Team: Men: M1 – M2 – M3 – 30 – 44 years; M4-M5-M6-M7- 45 – 65 years
Women: All age categories.
